GENERAL INFORMATION
Transportation & Parking Services at The Ohio State University is a self-supporting entity, relying solely on user fees for all construction, maintenance, and operation of parking facilities and the Campus Area Bus Service (CABS).

Vehicles parked on The Ohio State University Columbus Campus must purchase and display a parking permit or park in a pay facility.

PAY FACILITIES
Visitors who are visiting for the day and wish to park in a garage may utilize one of several visitor parking garages. The Tuttle, Ohio Union, 12th Ave., and Hospitals garages offer visitor parking 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Customers either pay the hourly rate or use a prepaid parking voucher upon exit from the facility, either to a booth attendant or to the pay machine.

SURFACE LOTS
Single-day and multi-day parking permits may be purchased by anyone who needs to park at the University. These permits are valid on surface lots only.  If the visitor chooses to park at a meter or a pay facility (i.e. garage), all hourly fees must be paid.

Visitors will be assigned specific parking designations by Transportation & Parking Services. Designated parking areas will be written on the front of the permit in the comment box. For overnight guests, parking will be restricted to West Campus during the overnight hours.

Scratching off one month, one day and one year validates the permit. The date exposed for the single-day is the date of the actual visit.The date exposed for the multi-day is the last day of the visit and is valid from the date of purchased through the date exposed. If more than one of each category is exposed, the permit is void and if displayed on a vehicle, the vehicle is subject to fines and/or impoundment.

PAY AND DISPLAY MACHINES
The Pay and Display machines allow visitors to purchase parking for a specified time an then park in designated surface visitor spaces and after 4:00PM and on weekends, in "A", "B", and "C" spaces in all surface parking lots. Customers insert coins or credit cards in to the machines to cover their parking costs. The machine will print out a temporary parking permit that must be clearly displayed on the dashboard while parked. The permit is valid for the time specified on the permit/receipt.
