Center Satellite Office Staff Parking
Parking options for the 2009-2010 permit year will
be available for staff who are based at Medical Center Satellite
locations (defined as any location that is not contiguos to
the Columbus Campus). For more information, please see the

Transportation and Parking Services offers a variety of parking
options to staff who are based at an off campus medical center
operated facility. For more information, please see our policies
and procedures.
Staff who are based at Medical Center Satellite locations
may have a need to travel back and forth between their primary
work location and the OSU Central Campus for business purposes.
The “Medical Access” (MA) parking permit is available
to help meet parking needs.
Which permit do I obtain?
Staff may obtain only one primary parking permit. If you work
only at a Satellite location or make occasional trips to the
Columbus Campus, you should get the MA permit. This permit
will allow you to park on the Columbus Campus for business
purposes. If you work both at a Satellite location and on
the Columbus Campus, you should purchase the regular A or
B permit (permits are available based upon job title/appointment
status).
Remember: Staff may hold an MA or a regular A/B
permit, but not both.
How do I get an MA permit?
Complete the MA
permit application card(pdf), obtain all required signatures
(T&P cannot process the application and issue a permit
without a valid authorizing signature); and bring or mail
to Transportation & Parking Services along with payment.
How much does the MA permit cost?
The "MA" permit price is equal to the cost of the
faculty/staff "CX" permit. For more information

Where can I park with the MA permit?
MA Permits are valid ONLY in staff garages where “A”
keycards work (not in designated patient/visitor parking)
and in the Buckeye Lot at Fred Taylor/Ackerman Road. (The Med Center
Express connects the Buckeye Lot to the Medical Center and
runs M-F, 5:30am – 1:00am). MA permits are NOT valid
after 4pm in other lots or on football Saturdays. If an MA
permit is found parking in any other location besides a central
campus garage or the Buckeye Lot, it will be cited.
What if my work assignment changes?
Staff who leave the satellite location and begin working on
central campus must return the MA permit (there is no prorated
refund) and purchase a regular A or B permit.
Will a regular A or B permit be honored at my Satellite
location?
Yes. All OSU Permits will be honored at the various Medical
Center Satellite locations.
