Instructions for B Garage
Permit Requests
This year there have been some changes to the garage groupings,
so please review the information below before making your
request to ensure you get the permit that will best meet your
needs. Some of the changes that prompted the grouping adjustments
include:
- The new 9th Avenue East garage will be open to BG2 permits
as of September 1.
- South Cannon Garage Remains Open For 2009-2010: Revisions to the Project One Medical Center Construction Initiatives have delayed the closure of the South Cannon Garage indefinitely. Information will be posted as details become available.
- Neil Avenue Garage will not be included with any of the
BG permits. Limited hourly parking will be available in
this garage in an attempt to help accommodate hourly parkers
who are currently using 12th Avenue Garage but are not Patients
and Visitors of the medical center and reduce the daily
overcrowding of the 12th Avenue garage.
- The Lane Avenue garage will open to BG1 permits in January
2010.
2009-2010 Permit Allocations:
- "BG1" permits will have
access to Northwest, Tuttle, Arps, and Lane Ave. Garages.
(Lane Ave. Garage opens in 2010.)
- "BG2" permits will have
access to 9th Ave. West, 9th Ave. East, and South Cannon
Garages. (South Cannon Garage will close December 2009.)
- "BG3" permits will have
access to Ohio Union North and 11th Ave. Garage.
Please view the 2009-2010
BG Garage Permit Allocation Map for details on how garage
permit allocations have changed.
As you may recall, BG permit requests are accepted between
July 1 and July 31 annually. Requests are filled during the
first few days of August based upon Seniority with OSU.
Approved Requests
If your request can be filled, you will receive an e-mail
from our department the first week of August confirming the
allocation and providing instructions for you to log back
in to our on line services and complete the sale. At this
time you will elect payment method (payroll deduct or credit
card). It is very important that you log back
in and complete the sale by Wednesday, August 19th,
or the permit could be allocated to someone else when unclaimed
permits are opened up to waitlisted customers on Thursday,
August 20th.
Denied Requests
If your request is unable to be filled (we unfortunately do
have more requests than spaces available), you will be required
to select another permit.
Submitting Your Request
To log in to T&P’s On Line Services, go to http://tp.osu.edu/eservices/facultystaffpermits.shtml.
Clicking on the red "Purchase a Parking Permit"
button at the bottom of the page will take you to the Office
of Information Technology's authentication page. Enter your
OSU Internet username (example smith.1) and the password you
use to check OSU e-mail. This will then take you to your T&P
account page and provide instructions to complete the registration
process.
If you have not activated your name.#@osu.edu e-mail, you
will be unable to use T&P's on line services as the University
authentication process requires this e-mail to be active.
