CONSTRUCTION
ALERT - Beginning Monday, June 15 through
the Fall of 2009, many state, city, and campus construction
projects, including the SR315 construction closures, will
impact your commute to campus. During this time, motorists
should anticipate parking shortages/traffic delays and are
encouraged to arrive on campus early. For more information
regarding the SR 315 construction closures, please visit the
Ohio Department of Transportation website.
SUMMER
QUARTER PARKING
During Summer Quarter, classes ARE in session and there are
numerous camps and other activities on campus which fills
most surface parking during daytime peak hours. Since CABS
bus service is reduced, the restrictions regarding purchase
of permits are lifted and students of any rank may purchase
central campus parking.

- Monday, June 22 – Monday, August 31
- General Parking Rules to Remember
- Central campus permits will be required to park on
central campus M-F, from 5am-4pm. Any customer currently
holding a west campus or CX permit that wishes to park
on central campus must upgrade to a central campus permit.
- From 4pm-3am, Monday – Friday and from 4pm on
Friday – 3am on Monday, rules are relaxed to allow
any purchased OSU permit to park in any non restricted
A, B or C surface parking space.
- Because the Med Center Express Service will run throughout
summer quarter, CX and CXC permits are required to park
in CX parking, M-F, from 5am – 4pm.
- Students living in the residence halls during summer
quarter may park overnight in any C parking space with
a C parking permit (students with a WC or WC5 can exchange
their permit for a C beginning June 12th)

UPGRADE
YOUR PERMIT FOR SUMMER QUARTER
Staff, and students (regardless of rank) may upgrade their
permits beginning Friday, June 12th (see choices listed below).
To upgrade, customers need to bring their current parking
permit back to 160 Bevis Hall, complete a new application
card, and pay the difference in price between their current
permit and their upgraded parking permit.
Please note: The Arps and Neil Avenue Garages will
be available for hourly parking beginning Monday, June 15th,
2009 through Monday, August 31, 2009.

- BE - All garages except Hospitals and 12th Ave.
Garages (4pm - 3am)
- Vehicles may not be stored in the garages overnight
from 3am - 5am.
- Students:
- There will be no student garage permit sales for summer
quarter due to the significant number of summer construction
projects that will limit parking availability. Students
(all ranks) with a “WC” permit may upgrade
to a “C” permit for the summer. C permits
may park overnight in “C” parking during
summer quarter.

- 15th - (Saturday)
- BG permit graduate with appointment sale (noon -
5pm)
- CG permit lottery requests due in 160 Bevis Hall
by 5pm (online requests due by 11:30pm)
- CG lottery results will be posted
on Wednesday, August 19th.
- 19th - (Wednesday)
- Deadline for receipt in 160 Bevis Hall of application
for Faculty and Staff permit mailing. Faculty and
staff that would like for their permits to be mailed
to them need to turn their permit applications in
to 160 Bevis Hall by midnight of August 19th. (The
160 Bevis Hall customer service office closes at 7:30pm).
Any applications received on August 20th and on will
have to be picked up.
- SEPTEMBER
- 1st - (Tuesday)
- All customers need a 2009-20010 parking permit to
park on campus.
- 2009-2010 keycards will not work in the garage until
Tuesday, September 1, 2009.
- 5th - (Saturday) First Home
Football Game
- On Football Saturdays, some lots are reserved and
are designated as Tow Away Zones. These reserved lots
have signage at their entrances and vehicles parked
in these lots after 5:00AM on game days will be towed
at the owner's expense.
- 9th - (Wednesday)
- Deadline for receipt in 160 Bevis Hall of application
for student permit mailing. Students that would like
for their permits to be mailed to them need to turn
their permit applications in to 160 Bevis Hall by midnight
of September 9th. (The 160 Bevis Hall customer service
office closes at 7:30pm). Any applications received
on September 10th and on will have to be picked up.
- 11th - (Friday, by 7:30pm)
- CG permit lottery winner pick-up deadline
- 14th - (Monday)
- CG permit first-come, first serve sale starts at
7:30am
- 20th - (Sunday)
- All
2009-2010 student parking permits are valid in C spaces
overnight until Move-In Day, Sunday, September 20th.
After this date, the appropriate overnight parking
permit (CP or WC5) must be purchased and displayed
and the car must be parked in the corresponding parking
area or it will be cited and may be towed.
