VISITORS
Visitors and guests of the University are required to purchase a visitor permit unless they park at a meter or in a pay facility. Single- or multi-day surface or garage parking permits may be purchased at 160 Bevis Hall.

Surface permits are valid in area(s) designated on permit. If visiting a dorm resident, parking privileges will be based on the parking designation of the student they are visiting. If a visitor chooses to park at a meter or in a pay facility, all hourly fees must be paid.

Garage permits (i.e. ValueCards) are valid in specified facilities only and are not honored during special events. These permits are not valid in surface parking.

Overnight parking for OSU visitors staying in the dormitories is permitted in the Arps and Ohio Union South garages during the weekend. Hourly fees must be paid. For more information on visitor permit options, please see the visitor information page.

The SafeAuto Hospitals Garage is designated for patient and visitor parking only. Discount parking vouchers are available for patients and visitors who stay 5+ hours. For more information about Medical Center parking, please contact the Medical Center Customer Service office at 293-4639.

FACULTY/STAFF
On Fridays at 4:00PM until Monday at 3:00AM, Faculty and Staff members with a valid permit are allowed to move their cars to any non-restricted “A”, “B”, or “C” surface space on campus. West Campus and “CX” permit holders may park on Central Campus in a surface space during this time. (Please note: This means that “A” permit holders do not have exclusive use of unrestricted “A” spaces 24 hours a day.)

*Due to the fact that there is no CABS service to the Buckeye Lot on the weekends, "CX" permit holders can stay in "C" parking spaces until 9:00AM on Monday morning.

STUDENTS
On Fridays at 4:00PM until Monday at 3:00AM, dorm residents with a valid parking permit are permitted to move their cars to Central Campus and park in a unrestricted “A”, “B”, or “C” surface lot only.* This does not include “CP” parking spaces as these spaces are reserved for customers with this permit type during this time.

Commuter students with a valid parking permit may park in any unrestricted “A”, “B”, or “C” surface space from Friday at 4:00PM until Monday at 3:00AM.*

Overnight parking on Curl Drive is prohibited between the hours of 3:00AM and 5:00AM (Monday through Friday).

*Please note: An exception to this rule occurs on Football Saturdays.  There are lots on campus that are reserved strictly for football parking and all vehicles must be removed from these lots by 5:00AM.  Any vehicle not removed by that time will be towed at the owners expense.  For more information on this exception, please visit the Football parking page  or e-mail us at tpinfo@osu.edu .

GARAGE PARKING
Due to the availability of parking in the garages on the weekend, many of the garage parking permits have additional access hours during the weekend hours. The following permits have access in all parking garages (except SafeAuto Hospitals Garage) from 4:00PM on Friday through Monday at 8:00AM: “BG” and “BE”.

The following permits have access in all parking garages (except SafeAuto Hospitals Garage) from 4:00PM on Friday through Monday at 3:00AM: “CG”, “CE”, and “WCE”. (Please note that there is no overnight storage parking in the garages between the hours of 3:00AM - 5:00AM.)
