Competing needs for parking facilities exist with special events (i.e. concerts, department programs, athletic events, etc.) scheduled throughout the week at various times. Transportation & Parking Services continues to work with event organizers to provide the most convenient parking for event participants, with minimal inconvenience to OSU permit holders. When events are scheduled on campus during the week (Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.), Transportation & Parking designates specific lots for OSU permit holders. These lots are identified with “No Event Parking” signs. Transportation & Parking staff often monitor the entrances to these lots, allowing OSU permit holders only to utilize them.

SPECIAL EVENT PARKING
In order to accommodate special meetings and University activities or construction, Transportation & Parking Services may need to restrict the use of parking spaces on a temporary basis. We will make every effort to notify customers in advance. If your department is hosting an event on campus, please contact our department ahead of time for parking accommodation information. Please call 292-6390 for even parking accommodations.

FOOTBALL SATURDAYS
On Football Saturdays, some parking lots are reserved for Season Permits only. These lots are identified by signage stating “No Parking after 5:00 a.m. on Football Saturdays, TOW AWAY ZONE.” Student, faculty, and staff with a purchased current year permit may park at no charge in any day of game lot that does not have this designation.

In addition, the parking lots on the northside of St. John (the Ice Rink, and ROTC) are reserved for disability parking on Football Saturdays.

In the Buckeye lot, the RV parking spaces are painted with red lines. During gamedays, RVs are restricted to park and set up within one space. During the rest of the year, the red lines are not valid parking spaces and parking is to be limited to the standard white lines in the lot. Please check our web site for updates.
