GENERAL INFORMATION
PURCHASE A PARKING PERMIT
General Permit Purchase Information
- The button below will allow you
to purchase a 2007-08 parking permit. (It takes
you to a secure server site where you then must select permit,
delivery, and payment options before purchasing your permit.)
- All Student applications received by midnight on Friday, September 7th, will have the option to have their parking permit mailed to their address. After September 7th, customers submitting their Student application will no longer have the mailing option and they will have to pick up their permit at our office in room 160 Bevis Hall.
- Please allow 3-5 business days processing
time for all permits purchased on-line, then a week U.S.
Postal Service mail delivery time. We do not send permits
to international addresses, but instead will keep them in our
160 Bevis Hall office for pick-up when you return to the states.
- Before submitting your application, please make
sure that the permit you selected is the permit you wish to purchase.
Once submitted, the permit is ordered and it cannot be
changed until you receive your permit. You will then
need to bring it to our office to exchange it.
- We have a NEW e-services on-line site! We hope that the new site is easier to use and will assist you with your permit selection. As with any new site, there may be a few "bugs" left in the system, so please be patient with us during the early stages of our new site. "CG" Permit Lottery
- The "CG" on-line lottery application will be available starting July 10, 2006 through Saturday, August 18, 2007 at midnight. Customers can apply by clicking on the red button below (Purchase a Parking Permit) and following the instructions on applying for a parking permit. When customers reach the permit selection page, they select the "CG" parking permit they wanted to purchase (either "CG1" or "CG2"), complete their application request, and are entered into the lottery for that permit type.
- A list of permit recipients will be available
the week of August 28th in the hallway of Bevis Hall. Permits
will need to be purchased or picked up by Thursday, September
13, 2007 at 7:30PM. ALL unclaimed garage permits will be opened
up to be sold on a first-come, first-serve basis starting Friday,
September 14th at 7:30AM.
First Year Residence Hall Students
- For First Year residence hall students: First Year students living in the residence halls are prohibited from purchasing parking permits for campus parking. Graduate Students with a Paid Appointment
- Graduate students with an appointment - Please visit the student parking permit page for information on purchasing your permits. If you wish to purchase a staff permit ("B", "WB", or "BE" permit) you must come in to our office with a photocopy of your appointment letter or departmental documents. Staff permits are not available on-line to this group due to this requirement. In addition, those graduate students with an appointment who wish to purchase a "BG1" or "BG2" permit must visit Bevis Hall. These garage permits will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis on Saturday, August 18, 2007 from 12:00PM - 5:00PM. Student Payment Plan
- Eligibility - Students are eligible to purchase select parking permits through use of a payment plan. Eligible permits for the 2007-2008 permit year include “CG1”, “CG2” and "CP" permits. Students electing this option must have an active OSU e-mail account.
- Enrollment - Customers who elect the payment plan must agree to the Terms of Agreement and the Program policies at the time of permit purchase. The cost of the annual permit is divided over 3 quarters and, in addition, there is an initial $15.00 service charge to enroll in the plan. Payment plan purchases cannot be facilitated over the web or by mail. Customers must come to 160 Bevis Hall to pick up these permits so a Student Parking Permit Payment Plan agreement can be signed.
Flexcar Comes to OSU!
- Transportation & Parking Services has partnered with Flexcar to provide a low-emission, fuel-efficient car-sharing rental option. OSU customers can now bike, walk, carpool, vanpool, or take COTA or CABS to campus and have a vehicle ready for their short-term needs. Customers who need a vehicle can jump on-line and select a vehicle to rent. The hourly rates include gas, insurance and maintenance. Vehicles are parked in reserved spaces throughout the campus area. The customer simply needs to go to the vehicle location at the reservation start time, perform a brief inspection, and then use the vehicle as needed, returning it to the reserved space at the end of their reservation.
